When his newly religious father sends Ahmet, 11, to an Islamic dormitory to become a devout Muslim, Ahmet is catapulted into a different world. Leaving the comforts of an upper middle class lifestyle behind, he is forced to navigate his father’s expectations, the bitter divide between religious and secular Turks and his own growing pains while feeling more and more alone.
